Memphis Red Sox Package

I wrote and edited this package for Black History Month based on my web story on the same subject. I originally wrote it as a web story, celebrating the history of Memphis' Negro League Baseball team, the Memphis Red Sox. I got our sports reporter, Avery Braxton, to track it. This package was a great example of how a detailed digital story can always translate into an engaging news package.

Breaking News A Block - Tyre Nichols Additional Footage

I put together this A block hours after the release of additional footage in the murder of Tyre Nichols. This reel is a testament to my dedication to following a story all the way through and providing the proper context to news as it develops.

Nightside Producing Reel

I put this reel together to show my producing ability on the nightside shift. Clips were pulled from the 9pm newscast on CW30 and the 10pm on ABC24.

Prof. Gerald B. Jordan Retirement Package

I put together this package for my Broadcast II course in Spring 2022. The story follows the personal and professional career of retiring professor, Gerald B. Jordan, and the Roy Reed Lecture that was held in honor of his retirement.

2022 NATAS Mid-America & BEA Award-Winning Newscast

This newscast aired the night after a tornado touched down in parts of Northwest Arkansas. As UATV's Station Manager, this was the most challenging and fulfilling show to put together. As a staff, we were met with limitations. We only had one reporter going out and needed to gather video content while many of us had classes. Due to those limitations, I went out and put together a package, gathered and edited VO of storm damage across Northwest Arkansas and reported live for the first time. My staff came together to produce a fantastic show that we can all be proud of. As a station, we won the award for Best College Newscast from NATAS Mid-America and 2nd place for Best Student Newscast at the BEA Media Festival of Arts.

As a staff member on UATV, the student-run radio station at the University of Arkansas, I was part of producing this 2021 NATAS Mid-America award-winning newscast. I also appear as the sports anchor for the broadcast in the A block.

femPAQ Client Advertisement

As a part of my Video Immersion class, I worked with a client to create an advertisement. My client was femPAQ, a start-up offering a feminine hygiene emergency kit.

Portuguese National Competition Award-Winning Project

I made this video for my Portuguese class, and it was submitted for an award via the American Organization of Teachers of Portuguese (AOTP). The video earned second place nationally.
